5-year old

A few weeks ago Macy was the V.I.P. at her preschool. On Monday morning as we were headed to school she asked, "Mom why am I the B.L.T."? I told her it was because she is so tasty! Happy birthday to my 5-year old! I love you Macy.

Grandma Diamond

At the end of this month my grandma will turn 88. This past summer we've been able to spend a lot of time with her and my girls have gotten close to her. I want them to remember their "GG" (great-grandma) so I enlisted photographer Angela to snap a 4 generation picture of us, my mom, and sisters. I hope my girls understand that they have many strong women (pictured here and not) in their lives.

Our little girl recently turned two. Bryan describes Shilo as "a 1/2 pint with a gallon sized personality." We love our little 1/2 pint girl!

My Friend

I have a friend, in fact she was my very first roommate, who is going through a really big trial right now. Christy, I just want you to know that you and your sweet family are in our prayers. :)

Shilo wasn't nearly as excited as Macy was to start school. Even though a week has gone by Shilo still asks me every 10 minutes where Macy is at. I kinda felt like Shilo on that first day....

Nick

Soon my younger brother Nick will travel down to Cedar City to start his freshman year at my alma mater, Southern Utah University. Ten years ago I was in his place just graduated from high school and excited to start a new adventure. I have so many fond memories of my time at SUU...practical jokes in the dorms, bomb fires at the train caboose, spelunking, hiking, camping at Yankee, planting flowers, midnight movies, and of course meeting and associating with wonderful people. SUU gave me an education which opened my eyes and made me realize how little I know and how much I want to learn. Cedar City is where I fell in love with red rocks and a small town boy. It's where we started our marriage and made our first home. It was a wonderful time.

It's been said that "the one constant in life is change" and I agree. While I can't believe my brother is old enough to be a freshman in college I know he is going to succeed. So admist all of my reminiscing I just want to say goodbye Nick. I hope you embrace school and the community. Remember to study, go to a festival once in a while (it is the festival city), when you see a dorky girl with a backpack full of books think of me, and most of all enjoy your time. Good luck!

The Cruise

Last Christmas my mom and dad surprised me, Bryan, and my siblings with a Carribbean cruise to celebrate Nick's high school graduation. We waited for 5 months, did a lot of shopping, and finally the time came for us to go. We cruised with Princess on the Emerald ship to the Eastern Carribbean. The islands we went to included: Princess Cays, St. Marteen, St. Thomas, and Grand Turks. We also had 2 days at sea. I wish I could fully explain the wonderful time I had but in all actuality you will have to take your own cruise to understand how fun and relaxing a cruise can be. I ate a TON and lounged a lot. It was fun to explore the various islands and see different cultures. My favorite island was St. John. Instead of spending our time on St.Thomas we took a ferry to St. John and snorkled at Trunk bay. Trunk bay is the prettiest beach I have ever seen. I want to go back and spend more time there. I had a great time with Bryan and my family. It's been 3 years since our last cruise and here is a list of things I re-learned on this cruise.

#1- I have the best in-laws. Ruth and Evan tended the girls for 10 days. That is not an easy task. Thank you, thank you!
#2- I love hanging out with my family. We laughed so much and I thoroughly enjoyed their company.
#3- I can eat a lot
#4- I want to go back..... enjoy the pictures.

Viva la France! This is a fort we explored on St.Marteen's. St. Marteen is unique because it is half French and half Dutch. We went to a beach on the French side. It was definitely French, if you know what I mean.

Sugarland-Best Concert of My Life

Recently my brothers and sisters surprised me with an early birthday present-concert tickets to my favorite country duo Sugarland. My sister Katie went with me and we had BLAST. While the opening acts were nothing to be excited about Sugarland sounded awesome! It was definitely the best concert I've ever been too. Thanks so much Katie, Curt, Nick, and Annie. I love you guys.

Spring (?)

Spring has sprung in Springville, nothing but coldness and wetness. Somebody save us, this is what boredom has led Macy to do!

Maybe if we get lucky the Cat in the Hat will come visit us. Happy Spring everyone!

My Guy

If you come to the Boshell home you will quickly notice that it is ruled by girls. Pink, princesses, shoes, Barbies, hair elastics, and baby dolls have taken over our home. For the most part Bryan is patient with us but once in a while he needs to do a guy thing. A few weeks ago he decided that he needed to spread a pile of dirt that was in our garden. A shovel and wheelbarrow weren't sufficient, he needed a manly tool. He borrowed a "tool" from work and this is what he came home with......

Yeah that's my guy, wouldn't trade him for anything!

A Story

Once upon a time there was a girl named Shilo. The first thing Shilo did every morning is put on her pink cowgirl boots.

Shilo loved her pink boots and wore them everywhere.

She wore them to church.

She wore them while playing outside.

She even wore them while 4-wheeling. Shilo LOVED her boots!

*The moral of the story: when your daughter wants to wear pink cowgirl boots, let her because it's very cute.*
